In the framework of an active marketing and technological policy «Zvezda» JSC participated in the IXth international exhibition "Power and electrical engineering – 2002" which took place from 14 to 17 May, 2002 in Saint-Petersburg on the territory of JSC «LENEXPO» with the assistance of «RESTEC» exhibition company.
   «ZVEZDA» JSC presented one of its latest developments – gas power station ASG-500 rated at 500 kW, worked out on the basis of gas engine of domestic manufacture together with the further promotion of its main power production (diesel generating sets rated from 300 up to 800 kW on the basis of domestic manufacture’s diesel engines). This on the whole new for «ZVEZDA» JSC line of production aroused interest among participants and guests of the exhibition.
   The contest commission together with the Power engineering and support Committee of Saint-Petersburg’s Administration estimated this project at its true value and awarded to the enterprise a diploma "For the best domestic project". «RESTEC» exhibition company presented to «ZVEZDA» JSC a diploma "For the development of energy complex, promotion of electrical products to the Russian market and active participation in the exhibition".
   At the same time the representatives of «ZCEZDA» JSC took part in the international congress "The modern power – the basis for the economic development", which was organized with the help of the Russian Federation President’s Plenipotentiary. The questions of the Russian power market development were discussed at the congress in the framework of plenary sessions and round-table discussions, as well as the latest power technologies and equipment.
   The time of research- practical seminar-conference "The modern state and development prospects of «Zvezda» JSC diesel-generating production" was dated for the exhibition days, which took place at the enterprise from 15 till 17 May under the direction of V.A. Radchenko, Director General with the active participation of company’s partners – JSC «Novaya era» and state unitary enterprise Power Electronics Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
   The representatives of about 20 design institutes took part in the seminar, as well as other organizations from different regions, representing oil and gas industries, atomic power engineering, transport and communication enterprises, which apply in their projects and use power production of «ZVEZDA» JSC.
   The questions of diesel-generating production development, modern computer-aided facilities, the possibility of using ZVEZDA» JSC products in different projects and peculiarities of its operation, as well as maintenance were discussed upon at the seminar.
   The participants of the seminar attended the plant and design departments of «ZVEZDA» JSC. They met with specialists and discussed all the points of interest. They also visited «Novaya era» JSC where they had a chance to get acquainted with different production aspects and operation of industrial automation systems.
   One of the days the participants visited exhibition stands of «ZVEZDA» JSC and «Novaya era» JSC at the exhibition "Power and electrical engineering – 2002".
   The ways of further cooperation were outlined according to the results of the meetings. On the whole the participants of the seminar appreciate deeply the prospects of cooperation with «ZVEZDA» JSC and its partners, as well as the prospects of development of power market and power industry in general.
