  Sea-going passenger hydrofoil "Olympia" |    Type of the ship – sea-going passenger hydrofoil. Purpose of the ship – conveyance of passengers in the daytime. Navigation area – inland waterways and seas, distance from port up to 50 miles. Class of the vessel: KM [2]A3 passenger hydrofoil of the Russian Federation Register of Shipping, taking into account The rules of classification and construction of high-speed ships, 1998. The ship meets requirements of the Russian and international normative documents on safety of navigation and environmental protection.

|    Cargo transportable - 5 cars of BMW-300 type or 5 tons of cargo. Navigability -foilborne - 3,0 m, h - 3%. -in displacement condition – 3,5 m , h - 3%. Drinking water cruising capacity – 8 hours.
|    1.HULL The hull shape is sharp bilge with V-type bottom. Hull and wheelhouse material is corrosion-resisting aluminium-magnesium alloy 1561. The hull is made of moulded panels and profiles, superstructure and wheelhouse – of plates and moulded profiles. Structures are joined by the argon-arc welding and spot contact welding with glue.
|    2.FOIL SYSTEM Foil system consists of three foils: bow foil, medium foil and after foil. Foil material: bow foil – titanium alloy, after foil – stainless steel, medium foil – aluminium-magnesium alloy 1561. Bonding technique is welding.
|    3.SHIP ARRANGEMENTS The hydrofoil is equipped with the following arrangements: steering gear, anchor gear, mooring and towing gear, life rails and lines, masting as well as collective and personal life-saving appliances in compliance with the requirements of the Russian Shipping Register.
|    4. HULL SYSTEMS The following systems are onboard: drainage and oily bilge waters system, CO2 fire-extinguishing system, domestic outside water system, domestic waters system, waste waters system, ventilation and air-conditioning systems, engine-room ventilation system, hydraulics system, galvanic protection system of the bottom.
|    5.POWER PLANT Two diesel engines of "MTU" firm, Germany, with V-type cylinder arrangement, water-cooling and intermediate cooling of supercharging air are used as main engines. Diesel-generator of the company «Deutz», Germany, with 78kW capacity, 3x380 V AC 50 Hz is used as an auxiliary power plant.
|    6.POWER PLANT SYSTEMS Shipborne power plant systems include: fuel system, oil system, water cooling system, system of air supply to the engine room, main engines and diesel-generator gas vent system, main and auxiliary engines control system. Automation is provided for control system, monitoring system, alarm warning signaling and protection of main engines and auxiliary engine, technical aids.
|    7.SHAFTING AND PROPELLERS The vessel has two drive shaftings installed at an angle of 13 degrees to the base plane. Each of them is joined hard to the reduction gear flange of the main engine. The vessel is equipped with two five-bladed propellers.
|    8.ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT Electrical energy distribution is provided on the ship, three-phase alternate current of 380V, single-phase alternate current of 220V, direct current of 24-27V. Four DC generators with main engines’s drive, diesel-generator, accumulator batteries and shore power supplies are used as electric power supplies. Radionavigation equipment meets the Register rules and international requirements, which provides safe operation of the ship.
