 Different high-speed ships are built at the plant, such as: high-speed cargo air cavity motorship "Serna" (four crafts of such kind are operated in the Baltic Sea and in the Persian Gulf), hydrofoil "Katran" (four crafts are delivered to Canada), pleasure hydrofoil boats "Dolphin", high-speed air cavity patrol craft "Sokzhoy". Aluminium magnesium alloy 1561, used for construction of high-speed ships was specially developed for ekranoplan craft. It is highly competitive with the best foreign alloys by its mechanical properties and it surpasses them in weldability and corrosion stability. It is widely adopted also in civil shipbuilding for construction of hydrofoils and air cavity ships. Special technologies applied at the plant allow building ship hulls of its alloy with minimum welding strains.
